Pours brilliant gold brown. Aroma is caramel and nuts and forrest-feeling. This one is everywhere in Finland. Probably most popular British beer. It’s good but not that awesome that it would deserve some kind of monopoly. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Medium light body. The taste is watered caramel and spice and some butter. Hints of metallic character.

0,33l bottle. Clear deep copper colour with medium lastig stiff white head. Aroma: Grassy, hay with notes of candy sugar. Taste: Sweet malty start with light sour caracter and a sweet, also slightly bitter mouthfeel. Not bad but too watery for me. Light body with soft carbonation. Short sweet and watery finish. Not bad but too light.

explosivedog (294) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 4, 2016
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2016 500ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a thick creamy head that lasts a while. Aroma is strong malty biscuit and the flavour is the same. It’s a little bitter on the way out, and the aftertaste is not too pleasant. Nostalgia makes me want to rate this higher, but to be fair, it was only ever an ok beer.

L: *not judging the colour because of added food colouring -pours with a small, frothy head -low to medium carbonation visible S: -skunked to hell, caramel, plums, toffee, spicy, grassy, chocolate,c coffee, plums -finishes dry F: -medium to high carbonation (overcarbonated) -light body O: The longer the Beer stays in the glass, the more it’s consumed by it’s skunkiness. Why Breweries still don’t use brown bottles is beyond me

Coppery brown pour with thin off-white head. Malty aroma with notes of raisins and caramel. Flavors of caramel, raisin and fruit with a tiny bit of hop bitterness. Very thin mouthfeel.

Alles sehr verhalten.
