3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2005 Draft, served in Chicago. I figure the geography should be mentioned as this is likely quite different from whatís served in its homeland. Anyway, I got a rather nicely pulled draught at Pizzeria Uno, though it was served a little too cold. Nice "beery" smell compliments the warm, slightly roasty malt taste. Hops are slight and match well with rest of the beer. A fruity ale taste, almost like a Peteís Wicked, shows up at the finish. A pretty good one to have.

Love the taste and aroma of this beer. The dark red/amber coloring of the beer goes pretty well with the bottle design and colors making it very classy. The feel of the beer is amazing, very smooth and refreshing, no bad after taste. Its coffee like taste is great and carbonation very refreshing

Been a long time since I had Newkie brown. Seems ílessí than it was 20 years ago. Clear brown with a nice head. Rich malt nose. Clean crisp but malt profile not quite as rich as nose. Still something many should enjoy.

bottle@tryk bar, Copenhagen - dark brown pour with a medium off-white head. Slightly toasted malts, caramel, syrup, slightly nutty. (Dunk on many previous occasions in the distant past but realised I need to rate it and now not as ok as I remember from many years ago)
