Pours a dark brown color with virtually no head. Smells faintly of malt and nuts. Tastes of malt and roasted peanuts that gives way to a slightly watery, bitter finish.

Jul 7, 2008 Bottle: A nice balance of nuttiness and malt in the nose and palate. Well-balanced with a rich and creamy mid-palate. This has always been an enjoyable one for me.

Jul 5, 2008 A few days ago, I had my first bottle of this beer in many years, but I drank a lot of it at one point in my college days, so expect my review to be tainted with a touch of nostalgia.
Nice brown ale with a small off-white head. Aroma is lightly malty. Flavor is malty and nutty with a touch of caramel sweetness. Easy to drink and enjoy with some friends and much better than most mass-produced beers. Overall, a pretty simple beer and honestly quite watery, but its still pretty good to me.

does not count  Jul 5, 2008 I’m in UK and really got into ales here, always like to try something new, just tried my first bottle of this one, warm evening while I tended my BBQ... Not anything particularly intense flavourwise but very drinkable and tasty none the less, someone here said tastes like a good homebrew, a good way to sum it up.
