Newcastle Brown Ale was first brewed in 1927 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, by Jim Porter after three years of development. Production moved from Newcastle to Gateshead at the end of 2004.

Late night six pack. Good beer, smooth malts, hops, and hint of nuts. Pours a dark amber with a creamy and nutty lightly tan head.

Pours dark reddish-amber with thin creamy head. citrus malty aroma. Smooth roasted nutty medium sweet taste. low-medium carbonation. Subtle bitterness in aftertaste. Very drinkable...I’ll have another.

Bottle . Light Brown color, malty, nutty aroma. Flavor with notes of nuts,hops, and toffee. Flavor is much the same as the aroma.Thin mouthfeel, and fairly clean dry finish.

ahh another classic from my youth! pours dark brown not very fizzy. nice burned toast nose to it. flavour is sweet and malty with a tea aftertaste. forgotten how good this beer is.
