3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Burnt sugar/caramel/sweet malt. Fruity character; I think both from malt (raisin-y) and yeast (cherry). A hint of roasted malt flavor--mostly in aftertaste.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is chestnut amber brown with a moderate off-white lingering head. The nose does have those esters of black malt roastiness and no hop character overly forthcoming. The body is thin to medium. The taste is malty but cardboard-like with a mildly lingering finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear dark garnet/brown with a thin very light tan head. Aroma is chocolate covered cherries. Taste is roasted malt, a a bit of chocolate and coffee from the bottom of the pot. Pleasant mild hop bitterness at the close. Well balanced and refreshing, but a bit on the thin side. Good session.
