Pours clear cola-brown with a 2-finger off-white head. Aroma of cocoa with a touch of coffee. Medium body, slightly watery with a brief finish. Flavor of coffee and cocoa with a light fruity note to the finish.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours hazy chestnut with 2-finger tan head. Nose is nuts, cacao, caramel, hops. Tastes nutty, with some caramel, cacao, and a medium to light finish with light palate heft. Like an overly perfumed crack whore, this one looks good, smells much better than it tastes, and sucks, but not unless you pay for it first.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear dark brown, near black. Some suds. Very faint aroma of caramel, sugar, malt, and leaves. Taste is the same. More roasted malt than anything here. It has a good clean lingering flavor. Good texture and pretty enjoyable alcohol flavor.

Aroma is slightly roast malt and earth. Flavor follows with slight caramel. Nice mild beer. Very drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 7/20
Earthy, malty aromas preceed a translucent brown pour with non-lasting off-white head and no lacing. The taste is slightly sweet. Mildly malty, musty earthiness, and cardboard with perhaps the barest touch of molasses. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. Overall, rather flat tasting - drinkable, but one I would buy again.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle. Some black licorice in the aroma. Light to medium bodied, pretty straight up. Filtered amber-brown body. Not unlike a true English Mild in some respects, but cheap and neutered. Brown chocolate, doughy malt notes. Something about it is just too thin, lifeless. Odd fruity ale tones too. A weird beer for sure. Let it sit out for 20 minutes...gets better as it breathes.

Dark brown. Resilient khaki head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, and bread. Taste is moderately malty sweet and a little chemical. Mediumish bodied.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
The aroma is caramel, coffee, chocolate, and grain husks. The appearance is light brown with a thin head. The taste is like the aroma and watery. The palate is thin. Overall its drinkable but not that great.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A nice beer with an emphasis on malts, can taste the mats of the grains and husk of the cracked malts. Not much on the bitterness. A nice brown color.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A dark brown pour but a very light beer. Kind of a strange flavor. Roasted malts without too much roasted flavor. Caramel, pale malts, and some spices possibly.
