Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark ruddy copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma of malt, light stone fruit, perhaps grass. Med body. Flavor is chocolate, moving on to light fruits with something like Earl Grey grass. Hay. Somewhat uncommon flavor here. Drinks nicely. Keep thinking Earl Grey. Itís fairly dry, and towards astringent.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate floral hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a brown head. Caramel, slight soy sauce, chocolate, a bit metallic aroma. Some more metal in the mouth. Slightly charred, burnt sugar / caramel, and doughy flavor. A hint of coffee. Moderate bitterness. Kind of bland. Not good.

Bottle. Light coffee, chocolate, and raisin malt aroma. Dark brown with nice head. Nutty chocolate malt and light herbal flavor. Body on the lighter side. A nice Mild - really wish Milds would gain more of a foothold in the states.

On tap at Tapwerks. Pours near black with a creamy light brown head that lasts through out the beer and laces. Aroma has notes of thin earthy grains with a bit of musty chocolate. Flavor is thin as with sweet grain, light chocolate and earthiness.

12oz bottle, from Party Source. Clear brown red color. Thin khaki head. Leaves some loose bits of lace. Light body. Lighter carbonation, kind of a macro-ish rough texture to it, lightly slick in the finish. A weaker aroma than I hoped for. Coffee and chocolate notes are faint. A little appreciable earthy coffee notes in the finish. Light earthy hop, some dark fruit. Seeing the tea notes drowland pointed out, that part is pretty interesting actually. Taste is moderate bitter, light sweet, light rough edge to it - this just isnít as smooth and easy drinking as it should be. Not terrible, but not good, and has nothing on a real craft mild ale. You can taste the macro.

355mL from a 24 pack. Yes, I bought it for my father in law, lover of Newcastle. Clear, deep ruby pour, white to light beige foam with good lacing and nicer than expected head formation. Nose is Worcestershire sauce, red apple, soy sauce, metallic penny, heavy sugar. Taste is thin, soapy, suddy, pretty bland with no roast. Hints of red apple, biting soapy bitterness. Strange beer.

Bottle from Caponeís. Pours hazy chestnut with 2-finger tan head. Nose is nuts, cacao, caramel, hops. Tastes nutty, with some caramel, cacao, and a medium to light finish with light palate heft. Like an overly perfumed crack whore, this one looks good, smells much better than it tastes, and sucks, but not unless you pay for it first.
