A full-bodied pale ale, it’s sweet rather than bitter, with some caramel and fruit notes.

The aroma is dusty with grassy hops, light brown sugar, and adjuncts. The appearance is light brown amber with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma and is slightly papery and astringent. The palate is average. Overall a pretty average beer.

Bottle. Deep carmel color..Head fades quick, decent appearance and smell. Taste is overly sweet and sort of flatter then i’d expect. really doesnt do anything for me

Tap. Pours clear copper with thin, frothy off-white head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is biscuit malt, earthy hops, light caramel, and light fruit esters. Flavor is sweet malt forward, medium hops, and light fruit esters; dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

This beer poured nice and the coloring was okay to look at. With that said I was expecting more from Newcastle. The taste was weak and slightly metallic. Definitely not one of the beers I’ll be picking up again.

Pours copper. Smells of bready sweet malts and aluminum. Taste is metallic, doughy malts, sweet (brown sugar maybe?). Palate is thin but refreshing. Just ok...

Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt and earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light citrus with a crisp dry lingering carmel finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours copper with whitish head. The aroma is slight earthy hops with some toast and nougat, some musty and bloody hints. The flavor mild spritzy bitterness with a chalky quality and a strange crackery malt. Saline finish, clean bitterness in aftertaste. Meh.

Immediate thought on this is disappointing. There’s very little here. A bit of sweet malt and a lot of strainy water flavors. Boring.

Interesting style beer that had a bit of a pale ale taste to it but the origional sweetness and crispness of a brown ale.

Bottle. One of the best pale ales I have had. Deep golden Color with nice head and great lace. Wonderful balanced flavor. With an aroma of floraly, bread. Great thirst quencher.
