From tap. Pours a ruby color with small head. Aroma was mildly malty and slighty sweet. Taste was caramel, sweet malt and slight bitterness. More sweet and not balanced. Mild for an ESB.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2013 Draft at Fado in Philly. Clear dark orange pour. Fluffy white head. Tons of lace. Mild toasted wheat flavors. Some caramel. Nice session beer but not very complex. Feels like a mild red ale. Decent looking, but way too bland.

Bottle. Aroma is malty with a bit of sweetness. Pours light amber colored with very little head. Very malty taste with caramel and fruit notes. Finishes smooth and dry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I donít see the point. Not terrible , but not noteworthy. I like the head, but the taste is kind of metallic. Donít know what to think.

Poured into a English Pint glass from a twelve ounce bottle from a 12 pack. I find that if I donít particularly "care" for a brew new, during a specific taste time, and w/out discounting another opportunity to try it again, there has always been someone I know who will "care". This one I keep and share. ícause it ainít too bad a Pale Ale and itís got 4.8% Vol as opposed to 4.7 inside the Brown Ale.

12 oz bottle pours clear amber with a white head. Not much on the aroma front. Taste is malt and bread. Not there best offering.

2013 bottle to a pint glass. Pours a clear copper color with a foamy white head. Aroma is a faintly sweet and bready. Taste is watery with a little sweet malt and even less of a bitterness at the end. Medium mouthfeel. Mostly bland and inoffensive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Light malty and soapy hops aroma. Clear copper with a small white head. Slightly sweet fruity / bready malt and light grassy / soapy hops flavor. Light body, soft carbonation.

355ml Bottle: best before 30 Apr 2013, opened on 12 Apr 2013 and poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Looked good, light amber going onto copper in body colour, on top a full head of white crowned it off nicely. I thought this had a malt bias throughout: something I like. The nose had a mild caramel hint within the aroma and that followed along within the mouth flavours. Hops are around giving the beer a balanced feel but this is a semi-sweet brew which fits my taste profile very nicely.
