2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle poured a clear copper hue w/ a white head quickly diminishing to a thin cap and excellent lacing. Moderate aroma of malt and sweet caramel. Initial flavor is a light sweet with a moderate bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are bready malts, caramel and light citrus notes. Light to medium bodied, light carbonation, and a light dry finish. It is a good beer, just not a complex one. It is like a good piece of toast, you arenít going to get excited about toast, but sometimes when your eating you want a piece of toast to go with the meal.

A sweet pale ale that's sure to please most with its mellow hop character and up front barley. Abrupt rather than lingering, as I think the best pales are

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Aroma of caramel and crackers. The taste is about as one dimensional as a beer can get. Slightly malty, very little hop character. Has a crisp finish. I would classify it as an amber. Nothing offensive here.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2013 Draft at Fado in Philly. Clear dark orange pour. Fluffy white head. Tons of lace. Mild toasted wheat flavors. Some caramel. Nice session beer but not very complex. Feels like a mild red ale. Decent looking, but way too bland.
