3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured into a English Pint glass from a twelve ounce bottle from a 12 pack. I find that if I donít particularly "care" for a brew new, during a specific taste time, and w/out discounting another opportunity to try it again, there has always been someone I know who will "care". This one I keep and share.
ícause it ainít too bad a Pale Ale and itís got 4.8% Vol as opposed to 4.7 inside the Brown Ale.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Copper color with a modest, stable, off-white head. Just a few rings of lace. Fairly clean aroma, meaning not much there. Just a few hints of grain, toast malt and floral hops. Hints of toasted earthy malt and generic bitterness. Just a beer kind of beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Morrisons. Poured a clear copper, with a thin white head. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malt and honey. Caramel and toasted malt in the flavour, with a slightly herbal note. Finish was biscuit, toffee and grass.

"Kinda nice if indescript. Couldnít really tell what the style was. English pale works. Caramel and light earthy and spicy hops. Nothin special but easy to put down. "

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance Ė Served a medium amber colored brew with a one finger white head. The head fades relatively quickly leaving only a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass
Smell - The aroma is mainly of a malty and bready aroma. Mixed with these are some sweeter caramel as well as some lighter fruit notes of apple.
Taste Ė The taste begins with a bready and biscuit malt flavor mixed with a sweet caramel flavor upfront. Some light roasted malt flavors develop more toward the middle, only to fade more toward the end. As the light roasted flavors come and go so too comes some fruity flavor of an apple and pear taste. These stay very light and only aid in enhancing the bready and biscuit flavors and serve as a backdrop to the caramel. In the end a light herbal hop flavor comes to the tongue, leaving a rather crisp and smooth flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel Ė The body of the brew is rather crisp and on thinner side with a medium to slightly lower level of carbonation. A bit more carbonation may have been slightly better for accentuating the crisp taste of the brew, but overall it was a decent feel as the thinner body made it quite refreshing.
Overall Ė Rather crisp and refreshing. Quite easy to drink but nothing too exceptional.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Bronze with a small head. Slight bitterness that lingers for some time. A bit bland at first but more flavours developed over time. Quite reasonable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From the bottle this poured a clear pale golden amber body with a bubbly eggshell head that soon reduced to something less than a film. The key word to this ale is "light." Light on aroma, body, and flavor. The nose held a light sweetness, a light earthiness, and an even lighter touch of caramel. The light flavor was white bread with a mild (read, "light") earthy bitterness. Light rating.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Rated on 5-15-2012 (Bottle) This beerís appearance is a small white head with a short retention, gold transparent body, fast rising, fizzy carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malt and hops. The flavor is lightly bitter, hops, sweet, and malt. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and thin. This is a light bodied beer. There is not much character to this beer. It is a pretty straightforward beer...malt and hops. The end.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle at home. The best thing I can say about this is it was 59p. Poured a light amber brown wuth a thin off white head. Typical English caramel malts, little fruity hops. Not for me thanks all the same.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a clear light amber body with a small fizzy off-white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is sweet and fruity with some husky grain with a minimal hop note. The flavor is a little overly sweet for my tastes, itís like watery caramel with just a light bitterness on the finish. This doesnít do anything for me at all. Light bodied and a bit watery with fizzy carbonation. I really donít care for all the grape juice like fruitiness in here. Iíll pass on a second chance to try this one.
