3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light copper with a 2 finger creamy almost beige head. Light fruit and floral aromas with a touch of something like cinnamon. Light touch. Near med body. Flavor is very English. Floral and bitter. Thereís touches of fruit and metal, and the ever popular light caramel. It is dry - compared to Newcastle Brown. Maybe a Scottish version of an English bitter. Nice ongoing mild spice into the finish.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber in color with a short lived white head. Like a lot of these seasonal Newcastle releases, really quite buttery. A bit of melon in there, too. Bread and toast with a touch of toffee. Toffee and toasted malt flavors to this one which arenít bad, but still a hint of butter. Slight melon notes and a light floral hop character.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled 18/01/13. A brown beer with a whitish ring of head. A sweet caramelly beer. The nose gives promise of a reasonable malty beer but iy just becomes thin and boiled sweet like in the mouth. There is some cake on the nose but otherwise it all seems a bit unnecessary.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle @ home. The recent Newcastle products that have shown up over the past year have been horrendous, so not sure why I purchased this. I guess Iím a sucker and a ticker. Transparent, dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Fruity, toffee, caramel, grassy aroma. Citrusy, bitter toffee, burnt sugar, weird fruity flavor. Not horrendous like some of the other Newcastle offerings, but it definitely is worth scrolling past.
