3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle poured into an English pint at 42į. Color is a deep amber that leans to the brown. Carbonation is good with a small off white head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt scent with just a hint of hops. It has a lighter medium body that gives a smooth mouth feel with a slight fizzy feel on the end. Flavor comes in sweet and roasted then a touch of hops give a mild bitterness and just a hint of citrus. After taste is dry as the bitterness comes out a little more. Overall its a good brew, like a robust Amber crossed with an ESB.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 ounce bottle. Pours a light clear amber (not blood red) with a small off-white head. Strange aroma of moldy, sour grain. Taste is a bit better, with sweet fruit, grain, and malt. Just nothing positive to say.

2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle. Pours clear brownish-orange (definitely not "blood red") with a medium beige head with good retention and lace. Aroma consists of stinky grain, overripe dark fruit, caramel. Taste starts out sweet before a light bitterness sets in. Watery and bland. Creamy mouthfeel and average carbonation. This werewolf should be extinct! Iím sure it will be by yearís end.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is a decent beer, though it might just be too bitter for most people. I enjoyed it, but I think I prefer Newcastle Brown Ale still.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is the best beer Iíve had by Newcastle. A totally decent rye malted blood red bitter ale, with a nice mellowness throughout. Nothing hoptacular here, just a balanced little bitter with a pretty color.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
10oz pour on tap at Cock & Bull. Clear red / brown color. Thin white head, some lace. Smooth texture. Some light earthy hop, light spice aroma, little skunky adjuct flavors. Light bitter, light sweet. Caramel malts. Light chocolate. OK... Better than standard New Castle brown, but I still donít care for this

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Bottle served in a Newcastle NBA pint glass: Deep amber hue with a lovely off-white head and sticky almost nitro lacing... it went downhill from there. The aroma has notes stale caramel malts, soap, oxidized hop extract, and some minerals and wet burlap bags. The taste was not any better, dull and lifeless with a strange twang that is borderline infected. Where in the hell is the rye? A toothless creacher this is. UTTER GARBAGE!
