3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gary (1132) - Rochester, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2011
(cask @ Coopers, Rochester ). Easy going stuff, with an excellent white foamy head that was robust and not shy like 99% of cask ales. Fruity aromatic hops , crisp on the palate , with just enough subtle malt sweetness interacting . A good quality cask ale.!

A Mes rate. Cask at The Magnet. Stockport. Attractive copper colour with a very thin off white head. Very earthy and peaty on the nose with maybe a little straw and hay in the background. A bit more character in the mouth. A decent balance of lemony hop and earthy malt. Some faint meaty notes in the finish but they’re swiftly dealt with by some pleasant bitterness that lasts well. Decent but no show stopper.
