Cask; Seasonal - Winter.
Winter Hog is strong Winter ale with a powerful bitterness that explodes into a delicious mixture of fruit flavours and aromas. Amber brown in colour, this premium ale is complemented by a good sweet bitterness and a blend of aroma hops lending to its grapefruit and slightly citrus flavour.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Amber to copper with white head. Thick, sweet maltiness with a faint tartish, fruity note. Fuller on the palate but somewhat flabby and fairly average.

On cask at the Cask and Barrel, Southside. Pours a golden brown colour with a thick white head. A yeasty aroma with some biscuity malt. Similar yeasty flavours. Mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.

(cask @ Coopers, Rochester ). Easy going stuff, with an excellent white foamy head that was robust and not shy like 99% of cask ales. Fruity aromatic hops , crisp on the palate , with just enough subtle malt sweetness interacting . A good quality cask ale.!

Cask. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Sweet caramel in the nose, perhaps a little fruit. Medium body, low carbonation, sweet caramel and fruit with a rather low bitterness. 180110

A Mes rate. Cask at The Magnet. Stockport.
Attractive copper colour with a very thin off white head. Very earthy and peaty on the nose with maybe a little straw and hay in the background. A bit more character in the mouth. A decent balance of lemony hop and earthy malt. Some faint meaty notes in the finish but they’re swiftly dealt with by some pleasant bitterness that lasts well. Decent but no show stopper.
