Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a frothy white head. Aroma is of grassy hops, a floral note and some bready and caramely malts. Flavour is slightly metallic, with the grassy hops and slightly floral notes. I also get the breadiness and some caramel malts. The body is light to medium with a slightly dry mouthfeel. Overall an ok Bitter, but their Red Stag is better.

Copper colour, with a reddish tinge. The aroma is dominated by undeveloped malt and yeasty notes. The flavour is more acceptable, with a fair ration of dry malt and a clean, bitter finish. Shame about the aroma but, otherwise, OK. My first beer from this new microbrewery in Somerset. Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival.

Bottle. A clear, light amber beer with a small but firm off-white head. Weak aroma with some fruity notes and lightly roasted maltyness. The flavor isn’t much more evident, lightly caramel roasted and fruity. Some bitterness. Dry and rather thin on the palate. Roasted finish. Nothing impressive going on here, but it’s a drinkable beer anyway. 110612
