Dansting (222), Overland Park, Kansas, USA Jun 27, 2007 Bottle. Poured a clear copper color with no head. No lacing, as there is almost no carbonation. Aroma is a sweet blend of caramel, malt, and fruit. Flavor....wow! This is a strong ale indeed. Caramel start and a nice malty and alcohol finish. Thanks Cottrell for this puppy! This is freaking awesome! emerica56 (445), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Mar 27, 2007 THis beer was poured into a sniffter with no head what so ever. it had a dark amber color with an intence chocolate malt flavor to it. the taste was roasted coffee and coocolate with some malt. this beer was a very good barley wine it was aged for only about a year when i had it but it was still good Odeed (1473), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 16, 2007 murky yellow with a white head.nice aroma of oak, vanilla, some pine hops, and caramel.lots of vanilla and oak in the flavor.followed by the pine, alcohol, and caramel.this is highly underrated. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 02/09/2007

aroma is getting alcoholic,
the earthyness appears to be growing and detracts from the malt rather than balancing it, once warm the malt kicks back in with a vanilla sweetness and the bourbon becomes apparent,
