COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Year round blueberry brew is a hybrid Kolsh style. Fermented at colder temperatures, but using our American Ale strain minimizes conflicting fruity esters. We feel that the addition of juice from real, hand pressed, Rhode Island Blueberries shouldn’t have to compete with the natural fruit background of the yeast. Pale Malt makes up the base of the grist bill, but this brew also calls for a large amount of malted wheat, an ingredient that lends a soft mouthfeel to the beer. Further there is enough caramalt to ensure a sweetness everyone will enjoy. Hops are chosen to compliment and balance the brew as it is bittered with a small amount of Magnum and flavored with English Pilgrim to lightly accent this truly unique Ale.

Bottle. Pours a clear light copper body under a small fizzy beige head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is big on the blueberry, and there’s not a whole lot more than that going on. There’s a little caramel malt sweetness in there as well. The flavor is pretty well the same, though the blueberry isn’t quite as intense. Lingering honey sweetness on the finish. Lighter bodied with a bit of clinginess and soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, a one trick pony, like most blueberry beers.

12 oz. bottle. Amber color with a purple hue. The aroma is light blueberry and honey malt. The flavor is the same. I bet this was a fan favorite back in 2004 or 2005. But the thin body, weak grain and soapy blueberry just doesn’t do it for me. Weak like 80 percent of fruit based beers.

Tap & can frequently. Pours a clearish gold, big white head. Aroma is super strong and fresh blueberry, bready malt biscuit, sweet extract. Flavor is super sweet blueberry muffin, even the texture feels like that... Med mouthfeel and bready smooth blueberry malt muffin. This stuff is great for a fruit beer, especially on tap fresh in Newport.

On tap at the brewery. Clear yellow pour with a fluffy white head. Pleasant blueberry aromas. It taste just like it sounds. Light corn and bread laced Kolsch with fleeting blueberry notes. Effervescent. Average body and mouthfeel.

Clear gold pour. Aroma is actually blueberry. Taste is sweet and refreshing. The feel is too much like water. A rare fruit beer I thought was ok.

#19 - pours cloudy amber, good head but quickly fades. Smells of sweet blueberry, raspberry jam and some banana. Taste is a dry, mild blueberry. Carbonation up front that blocks the flavour at first, easing into blueberry. OK if you want to change things up. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours orange gold with white head. A bit overcarbonated. Nose is fresh blueberry, banana and wheat malt. Taste is same, but muted blueberry. A touch of metal in finish. Lighter medium body.

Pours golden in color with a soft sudsy white head. Sweet fresh blueberry aroma and taste with a light malt undertone...you can tell that it is real vs syrup flavor. Notes: On tap at the brewery ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
