3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Summer of 07- What i like about this beer is thats a little stronger than most summer beers which are usually very light and watery. Hazy oragne color, sweety zesty flowery scent. Tastes sweet, citrus, weird hoppys, peper/spicey, bitter. Not great, but still ok.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy golden color. Aroma is of hops, malts, and citrus. Flavor is pretty much the same. More of a hop presence than most summer styles. Leaves a crisp hop finish.

On tap at the new brewery. This is the fourth out of four samples the poured as part of the tour. The pour some good sized samples here! As for the beer... the aroma and flavor of the Cascades are well noticable having brewed with them often. Distinct citrus and spice notes. Color is a medium orange-yellow. Crisp, slightly sticky finish. Would not be my first choice on a hot summer day, but otherwise a well-made IPA.

Pink grapefruit mist rising over grassy bitterness...Honey diluted by the fizziness and ailing body...Citrus juice tries to comeback but lacks the energy to do it well...

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The initial pour is an orange amber with a fluffy white head. The head quickly dissipates but leaves decent lacing on the glass. Very aromatic. Hops and citurs. The flavor is less citrusy and more hoppy than the aroma. Not bad. There is also a decent alcohol heat in there that I donít want in my IPA.
One more thing. A funny line on the label says "A small portion of the profits from the sale of this beer actually goes to the company that makes it." thats good stuff.

Clear golden amber with some bubbles lifting from the bottom... nice head. Smells mostly malty, with some grapefruity hops underneath. Iíd like a bit more of the hop scent to step forward. Taste is definitely hoppy, with a lot less malts than the nose would lead you to believe. Itís a crisp brew, without a doubt, but quite ordinary.

On tap at Aidans of Newport. Pours a coppery gold with a slightly off-white head. Decent aroma, although I would have expected a more floral or fruity nose in an IPA, especially on tap. Same with the flavor - plenty of hop bitterness but a bit light on the citrus / floral.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours out a brown color, fairly small head. Taste is slightly bitter, and malty. Pretty hoppy, not really pleasing, but nice. Not the best IPA by any means, but certainly pleasing. I like this, but Iíve had much better.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 20, 2012 Pours a deep ruddied brown. No head. Caramalized sweet corn and orange hop aroma. Peculiar overbearing old yeasts interfere with any decent hop malt play that might be occuring. Finishes sacharrin and stagnant. Carbonation is low. Cloying smack of indescipt sugars.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Pours a clear, copper-orange body with a thin, wispy off-white head.
Smell: Aroma comprised of light notes of caramel, orange zest, and toast shavings.
Taste: Hmm. A vague, brief maltiness with not very much sweetness to it. Citric orange zest hop flavor with a sharp stab of bitterness. Finishes same.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Mediocre at best, there are many far better summertime offerings to choose from.
