Bottle purchased at Siciliano’s. Clear chestnut brown color with a thick, fuzzy, oxidized head. Aroma of cardboard, plastic, caramel, chocolate and roast. Malty and caramelly flavor with chocolate and plastic before a roasty finish. Improves as it opens up, but still very oxidized.

bottle. Deep brown with small head. Substantial roasted malt with some char. Very light chocolate. It’s okay, but a little too burned for my tastes. Mild bitterness in the finish.

From the 12 fl. oz bottle notched out at March (2014). The color is dark brown with reddish notes. Small tan head. Odd aroma of buttered biscuit and malts. The body is thin to medium. The taste has a buttery feel to it like the aroma. Just odd basically.

Bottle poured a deep brown color with a thon cap of tan head. Aroma has mildly roasted malt, chocolate, and a hint of hops. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation medium low. Flavor has roasted malt, chocolate, some mild bitterness, and a pleasant smooth finish. Flavor is much better than the aroma.

Pours a rich brown color with sudsy off-white head. Roast, tootsie roll chocolate aroma and taste with a lighter body; the roast flavors linger quite nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Scrapersnbeer (1466) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 3, 2013
Ashy, smokey aroma of cocoa and burnt drift wood. Very dark brown color, still. Somewhat bitter, roasty flavor. Unfortunately suffers from a light body for the porter world, and what’s there is smooth to a fault. A decent porter except that last part.

Draught. This is a pretty boring porter without much to distinguish it from the herd.

A nice bitter porter. Could have more substance. Slightly sour smell not apparent on tongue.

Bottle courtesy of AirForceHops. Earthy roast and chocolate malt aroma. Black brown with a moderate tan head, moderate lacing. Earthy roast chicory malt, light ash flavor, and a roasty bitter finish. LIght to medium body, moderate carbonation.
