Newtons Folly Authentic Draft Cider

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Short Pump, VA. Pours a clear copper color with nearly no head. Aroma is sweet, grainy apples with a bit of brown sugar. Taste is sugary sweet apple juice. Very weakly carbonated. Light tart finish, which saves this one from certain doom.

Green, short 12oz twist-off bottle. Amber color. Aroma of warm applesauce. Flavor of tart apple juice. Hint of blue cheese. Medium sweetness. 22 nov 08

Bottle. Pours an amber-red with a bubbly ring. Aroma is tart and sweet, of sweet apples, sugar, and a hint of yeast. Sweet, fruity taste, of red apples and yeast. Lingering tartness. Not bad.

Golden apple in color with a spiced apple aroma. Flavor was apple cider with carbonation.

Bottle from Trader Joes - Short Pump on 04/16/2009. Golden amber body with a small frothy white head. Sweet apple aroma. Sweet apple flavor, some light vanilla hints. Medium body with fairly high carbonation.

I liked this one slightly better then the Granny Smith. It had a little more of a classic cider profile. I do wish it was a tad sweeter, but if you like your cider dry this is a good one.

Bottle. Aroma is sweet apple juice and a dry note. Amber golden, effervescent when poured then settling. To still with just a hint of faint off-white bubbles for a head. Very sweet, little else going on, lacks a nice carbonation, seems like apple juice. Light bodied.
