(Bottle) This isn’t beer and it doesn’t even remotely resemble beer so I’m not sure why it’s on this site, but I’m rating it nonetheless. Wow...this one is quite something. Tastes more like wine than anything else. There is very little sugar or sweetness, and there’s a sort of thin bite like in a dry white wine. Some complexity in the aroma. I really like this one, in spite of the fact that I think the "regular" cider made by this company is quite poor.

Skyview (5172) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAY 26, 2008
Sampled at Cellarís Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening beer tasting and shared by JK. From a 12-oz bottle pours a clear with just a barely straw colored cider with no bubbles or any ring. Taste is slightly tart apple and apple skin with a touch of sugar. Taste is slightly tart apple, medium bodied with no spices or any additional flavors. Finish has a mild tart aftertaste that quickly disappears. Pretty much an average tart apple cider.

Didnít like the Newtonís Folly. It smelled very good, but the palate and taste didnít live up to the scent.

Crisp palate. A little sour. Fairly sweet and sugary. Not much to say, a very inexpensive cider, drinkable enough.

[bottle] shared by JK. Poured very clear, almost no color with a tiny white head. Mouthfeel is very light and sparkling. Sweet finish without much tartness.

[Bottle, thanks JK] Pours with nearly no color--looks like pear juice--with an almost non-existent white head. Taste is a little tart, but mainly just an explosion of granny smith apple and a lot of sugar. Drinkable, but way too sweet and certainly well below average.

Thanks to JK for sharing. A clear yellow body with a fizzy mouth feel. Sweet with a generic apple flavor and aroma.

From JK. Clear "color". Sweet apple aroma and taste. A little sugary. Very thin.

From the Trader Joeís in Orland Park, IL - Hardly any color to this. It looks much like melted yellow snow except for the narrow ring of fizz around the top. Itís got an aroma of apple skins and tin. Very carbonated and gassy. The flavor presents more apple than the aroma, but not much. More of the skins and metal. The finish is sugar coated tin. They did this on purpose?

Not a big fan. Way to sweet and overly carbonated. I guess for a cider its not bad, but Iíll stick with beer.
