Cornfield (4261), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 17, 2008 From the Trader Joe’s in Orland Park, IL - Hardly any color to this. It looks much like melted yellow snow except for the narrow ring of fizz around the top. It’s got an aroma of apple skins and tin. Very carbonated and gassy. The flavor presents more apple than the aroma, but not much. More of the skins and metal. The finish is sugar coated tin. They did this on purpose?
Tmoney99 (3537), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jan 9, 2008 Bottle from TJ’s Cincinnati. Poured light pale color with a small white head that diminished quickly with minimal lacing. Light aroma of apple. Light body with a thin texture. Flavor of tart apple with a light sweet finish. My expectations were met. badgerben (3074), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2008 From JK. Clear "color". Sweet apple aroma and taste. A little sugary. Very thin. bhensonb (2880), Woodland, California, USA Jan 19, 2008 Green bottle from Trader Joes. Nice, tart Granny Smith skin aroma. Pale pear juice color (but clear) with no bubbles at all. Medium body with slightly fizzy carbonation (but no bubbles). It’s tart, it’s pretty Granny Smith in flavor, but I’d say Woodchuck is more to the fruit. That aside, it finishes tart, dry and greenskin (with hints of sweetness). It is very good. Skyview (2850), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 26, 2008 Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening beer tasting and shared by JK. From a 12-oz bottle pours a clear with just a barely straw colored cider with no bubbles or any ring. Taste is slightly tart apple and apple skin with a touch of sugar. Taste is slightly tart apple, medium bodied with no spices or any additional flavors. Finish has a mild tart aftertaste that quickly disappears. Pretty much an average tart apple cider.
