DTM (329), Winters, California, USA Apr 7, 2008 Not a big fan. Way to sweet and overly carbonated. I guess for a cider its not bad, but I’ll stick with beer.
dwyerpg (1990), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 25, 2008 Looks light like the inside of an apple. Flavor is sweeter than the other and more apply. Finish is much sweeter and a little more coating, but quite good, and I think, better overall. EithCubes (1756), Indiana, USA Jul 13, 2008 Green-glassed bottle from Trader Joe’s. Less cloying nose than its "normal" brother. Pour is extremely clear - it’s no exaggeration to say most tap water in New York City is darker. No head. Taste is cloying sugar, cotton-candy style without the verve, not quite tart enough to register but there’s still a whisper. Relatively smooth, watery body. Goes down easier than vodka, at least. Absolutely nothing here. cazort (325), San Diego, California, USA Jul 6, 2008 (Bottle) This isn’t beer and it doesn’t even remotely resemble beer so I’m not sure why it’s on this site, but I’m rating it nonetheless. Wow...this one is quite something. Tastes more like wine than anything else. There is very little sugar or sweetness, and there’s a sort of thin bite like in a dry white wine. Some complexity in the aroma. I really like this one, in spite of the fact that I think the "regular" cider made by this company is quite poor. Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 26, 2008 Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wednesday evening beer tasting and shared by JK. From a 12-oz bottle pours a clear with just a barely straw colored cider with no bubbles or any ring. Taste is slightly tart apple and apple skin with a touch of sugar. Taste is slightly tart apple, medium bodied with no spices or any additional flavors. Finish has a mild tart aftertaste that quickly disappears. Pretty much an average tart apple cider. timfoolery (297), California, USA May 4, 2008 Didn’t like the Newton’s Folly. It smelled very good, but the palate and taste didn’t live up to the scent.
