Deep red color. Little to no head. First sip is more syrupy malt flavor which leads to a slight hop middle. Med palate which lasts throughout. This brew is very well balanced. Finish is a little weak, which is my only complaint.

Tap at brewpub February 2013
Pours copper hue with a small off-white head. nose of toasted grains, resinous hops and carmel. Flavors are candy like with earthy hops and carmel. candy seems a bit on the malty side sort of sweet. Lite earthy hops show up long into the finish, but not as hoppy as some other the competition in the state for sure! average amber.

Tap @ Nexus. Pours a dark amber orange appearance with a tan head. Toasty malty, caramel, earthy, lightly herbal aroma. Fairly spicy hoppy, somewhat piney, herbal bitter, caramel malty flavor. Not bad.

On draught at the brewpub. Pours a clear, deep amber color with a lasting tan lace. Mice mellow hop bitterness matched to a moderate maltiness.
