iambeer (255), Ontario, Canada Aug 28, 2005 Of the four honey lagers I’ve tried , this one is probably the best, so far. Not too sweet, not too bad. MarkoR (224), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 2, 2005 Very nice mouthfeel, taste good, drinkable. Sweet. Brownish colour. I’ll have it again. DougShoemaker (2614), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 6, 2005 Candied malt aroma, copper, finger of custard head, plenty of carbonation, some pretty lace. Malt flavour, trace of honey is actually quite nice, woody notes too. Light bodied, creamy smooth, and well balanced. Very good. JohnBarleycorn (374), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 25, 2005 Very nice medium/chestnut-brown with some red accents. The aroma is quite sweet, with a distant honey/floral note and a touch of caramel. Very nice mouthfeel – lush and caramel-smooth. There’s a touch of honey in the flavour but none of the maple advertised on the front label. The bitter alcohol on the finish leaves a bad final impression of this okay honey beer. GregClow (2351), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 6, 2005 Draught sample at TFOB 2005. I had this right after the Wellington and Labatt honey lagers, and this was the best of the bunch. Not that the competition was very fierce, mind you. Pours a nice orange-gold with a small head. Aroma is quite sweet and malty, although the sweetness reminded me more of sweet & sour sauce than honey. Flavour is clean, very well made, but also unexciting. Finish is fairly dry. Not bad.
