Commercial Description:
We asked our brewer to make a light beer but not to sacrifice taste and quality. Our brewer surpassed our expectations with our Light Premium Lager for our health and figure-conscious beer drinkers! Our Light Lager is based on our Border Pilsner Lager, brewed with German Pilsner malt and Czech Saaz hops.

341 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours light golden in colour with a small white head. Initially quite carbonated, but settles nicely. Aroma is mild, slightly sweet. Taste is of Pils malt, mild hop finish.

On tap at Niagara’s Best. Pours a clear straw yellow with a thin white head. Light caramel, touch of citrus, little bit of oxidization. Medium body, much more than I’d expect from a light lager. Finishes up dry with a bit more oxidized plum and cardboard.

Tap: Medium gold, lightly protein hazed with a 2 finger hermetic white cap..decent lacing for a "light" beer. Aromas of cereal, husk, light sweetness, and some faint floral tones, light sulphur tones. Moderate mouth feel with a light body. adequate biscuity malts and floral hopping in good balance, fresh tasting with a clean malty finish. One of the best light lagers (pilsners) I’ve tasted. Would double as a session lager any day.

[2442-20090814] Tap. Light grainy yeast aroma has some fruity hops. Clear, light yellow brown body with a quick creamy white head. Grainy yeast flavour up front follows through with more fruit after. Light-medium body. Decent flavour, a nice light beer.

2009-08-14. Crisp pale yellow body with a small white head. Modest bitterness, floral grassy hops, mild pale malts. Mild aroma, hops are grassy as in the aroma. Average palate. Feels thin/dilute at times, but it has a surprising amount of flavour for a light beer, which is the idea. Decent, achieves what it sets out to do, but mild enough that I am not the target audience. On tap at the brewpub

Tried at the brewpub, brewed with Saaz hops making 10 IBUs. Light colour. Below average mouthfeel, but still one of the more drinkable ones.No aroma.
