Editor’s note: Also known as "Nibe Old Anchor Porter". <br /> Anker Porter er en dejlig rund og kulsort porter med lysebrunt cremet skum. Caribisk sukkermelasse giver sammen med ristet malt, spændende smagsnuancer af kaffe og lakrids.

Pours a deep brown coca cola-like body with a large, light-brown head that laces the glass well. Dry, roasted, moderate aroma of coffee, ash, yeast and faint fruits. Strong flavour, again roasted notes, coffee and ash with lovely dark berries. Moderate to light sweet taste with a moderate bitter finish. Pleasant mouthfeel with a medium body and soft carbonation. A nice porter indeed!

A porter of the "dangerously easy to drink" variety (it holds 7% ABV after all), this is a thirst quencher and a taste heavy beast all rolled into one. Pitch black with a crême brulée coloured foam. Then there’s sugary roasted malt along with a nice ash flavor (yes, I like that) and a coffee and licorice finnish. And all this from Nibe, the former herring capital of the Limfjord.

Smagning på restaurant af Nibe Bryghus. Det var a dejlig afslutning af denne lang dag kørende hele dagen. Jeg synes Nibe at være en meget hyggelig fiskerby åbnet til Limfjorden.

27.01.2013. 0,5l Bottle. Føtex, Ålborg. Dark brown, almost black colour with a very thin tan head. Aroma of alcohol at first, very strong. Or is it some other kind of bitter sweet aroma? Dry bitter malty flavours. Coffee and chocolate. Bitter at first but aftertaste is more mild. Strange beer, it tastes like they have poured alcohol in it and that the abv is more like 20%. I dont know? Rerate: Maybe its some spicy notes of Liquorice?
