Bottle 33cl. Black colour with a nice thin creamy brown head. Aroma and taste of roasted malts,coffee, sweet liqurice and dark sugars. Dry taste but very pleasant mouthfeel. Low carbonation. A very very very nice porter! Waiting for the Nibe Barley:-)

Bottle. Black of color with a nice brown head. An aroma with notes of roasted malt, coffee, liqurice and hints of chocolate and dark fruits. A flavor with notes roasted malt, coffee, dry but still sweet hints. A very nice porter!

Draft at Ølfestival, Århus, 2008. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as medium notes of citrus and chocolate, and light notes of coffee. The flavor is very sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt.

(Draught) Almost black with a small, beige head. Sweetish-licoricey, moderately roasty aroma. Slightly sweet, nicely licoricey, smooth and pleasant flavor. Almost full body with low carbonation. Very well balanced, enjoyable and full-bodied stout, without being cloying.

Draught at ÅBF08. Roasted, plasticky aroma. Black colour, light brown head. Roasted flavour, nicely creamy. Also creamy flavour, slightly sweet and very nice.

Draught@EBF2008. Black colour, not much head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, strong roasted malts and also some slight stinging alcohol. Flavour is alcohol, sweet malts, coffee and mild roasted notes. Aftertaste gets bigtime roasted malts meeting alcohol. Even though the alcohol hints it’s a quite nice and wellbalanced beer.

33 cl bottle at home. Black color with a very nice brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Flavor is coffee, bitterness (from both coffee and hops?), roasted to burnt malt, liqorice and fine sugar sweetness.

Dark ruby, almost opaque color, small head. Licorice in the nose. Very solid, tasty porter. A bit sweetish, good malt profile, some licorice and coffee. Nothing extreme here, good! I like it and reserves a title "the best non-extreme beer @EBF 2008".

Bottle courtesy of papsoe. Pours dark brown with a lasting, tan head. Smells of citrus, roasted malt, cherries. Tastes of chocolate, tarte, some cherry hints, peppery, spicy.

Nice toasty aroma with no roast; nutty and British-like. Black with nice lacy tan whisps. Excellent strong porter with no burnt, stouty character and very fruity and nutty. Medium body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.
