(#47) An unclear, golden beer with a nice, dense off-white head. Alcohol, some spicyness, malt and some caramel in the aroma, quite pleasant. Spices, mint being the most prominent, and malty sweetness blending in nicely. Full, warming, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, and a long finish with pale-malty sweetness, some alcohol and a spicy touch. A nicely spiced beer, sure drinkable on it’s own, maybe a bit on the alcohol side, but I think it goes better with food. (080302) Papsoe (9771), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 5, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, pale amber golden with a tiny, off-white head and small, floating impurities. Ginger-like aroma. Medium-bodied with sweet notes of fruit and again ginger. Somewhat astringent bitterness in the finish. 220308
