750mL capped bottle. Cloudy amber pour with off white head and lacing down side of glass. Good carbonation and malty sweetness with a little hop at the end. Alcohol very subdued. A relatively easy drinking strong ale.

12oz mug at Mahars for $7.50

A: maroon Garnett blood red. Fantastic lacing all the way down the mug.

S: somewhat mild. Basically a melange of jelly and little spice. No alcohol present.

T: mostly sweet front and middle. Slightly dry bitterness on the back end. Some jelly flavors throughout (grape raspberry black currant). Typical Belgian peppery taste too.

M: medium bodied. Good carbonation. Tad coarse finish but easily tolerable.

D: 10% abv? No way! Drinks like half that! Dryness becomes wearing after a while though.

Overall a good beer with great palate but not an amazing taste. I like it.
