3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled, 330 ml.
Hazy reddish dark brown/mahogany one with a fizzy beige head on its top, which diminishes with time completely.
Nose of molasses, spices, dried fruits... Fizzy, crisp brew containing aromas of molasses, dried fruits, raised pie and medicine underpainted by alcohol, mouthfeel is slick.
Long, warming and dry finish with citrusses, spices and earthy hops. N’ice.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
When it?s cold, there?s almost no aroma at all. Once it warms up a bit, there is a light Belgian aroma along with some nice toasted malt and wood. Not much to look at, a medium muddy brown with a small light tan head. Very spicy taste probably from the roasted malt and the high ABV. Nice brown ale taste with some dark caramel and light molasses sweetness and some dark fruit , figs and fruit cake dried fruit . Some vanilla and a bit of butter scotch on the sides. The dry spiciness balances out the sweetness nicely. This gets better as it warms and should definitely not be drunk cold.

Sehr spritzig, fruchtig, malzig. Umami, leicht speckig. Recht süss-bitter. Besser als ds Chimay bleue.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle 33cl. Ruby red brown with a big off white head that fades quickly. Aroma is not very explicit, but I think I can recognize some fruits. But somehow it has something chemical too. The taste is strange. A bitterness welcomes you, but then a strong sweetness kicks in. The thyme taste is apparent in the aftertaste. Peculiar, not my favorite.

The head is good, body brown. It smells fruity, plum, aromatic, maltintensive, bit alcoholic. The taste is malty, creamy, bit alcoholic, fruity, dried fruits, good balanced, tasty, less hoppy. Good and Christmasy

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Drink cold 8-10°C
Eye: pours a hazy deep brown color with a quickly dissipating white to beige head. Strong carbonation.
Nose: dark malts, dark berries, pine forest but there’s some sort of unfriendly and disturbing component of detergent and rotten fruit.
Mouth: somehow wooden taste. almost burns a bit on the tip of the tongue and gums. spicy. mouth feels dry after first sip. gets creamier with every sip though. dark berries again, cassis. reminds me of a fruity porter
Palate: roasted nuts, smoky. licorice
Overall: decent to good beer. smell is definitely not my favorite. much better in taste and palate/aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.33l bottle. Reddish dark brown body, light brown head. Aroma of toffee, wheat, booze and dark fruits. Taste of caramel, dark fruits, pepper and yeast. Not bad, but I expected a bit more filling beer as it’s for wintertime.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Brown colour with off-white head. Nice malt in the nose with hints of fruits. The taste just got me. Full body with caramel maltiness and fruity notes. The alc. is very well hiddeb not behind bitterness not behind too much sweetess. It is soooo well balanced. For me the best beer from DM family (exlc Omgng and Blvrd which I did not have a chance to try yet...)
