Pours a clear dark mohagany with high carbonation topped by a good two fingers of frothy/creamy beige head showing good retention and coarse lacing properties. Nose of dark fruits, plums, dattes. Sweetness and nutiness in the nose. On the tongue, the ale is sweet and nutty, giving dark fruits and dattes. This ale is highly carbonated. Medium body and nice oilyness (is that a word?) with a medium finish. Close to no bitterness, but the hops do give a slight boiled vegetable element at the very end. Good ale. Cheers!

On tap. Poured a dark brownish color with a tight head. Aroma of dark fruit, trace of roasted malt sweetness and spice. Taste of dark fruit, roasted malt, and spice. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, smooth with a subtle richness. Very enjoyable beer to relax with.

11.2oz bottle from a deeply discounted 4 pack purchased in early Feb with a best buy date still 9 months away. Pours dark amber with a nice looking swirly head. Sweet aromas. Tastes of dark fruits, yeast and spice. Lively carbonation. Tasty Belgian but not worth the high price that it usually sells for.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2016 Lovely beer, fruity, spicy, citrus yeasty and malty taste. Nice looking dark amber robe. Lovely and dense foam, little brownish. Smeels a bit like some kind of concentrated fruit sirup (it was smelling like the good ol’ homemade strawberries jam), it’s probably because the beer is pretty strong in alcohol (alcohol... sugar...). Some kind of berries taste, maybe strawberry or some kind of wild berries. Very nice beer !

On tap, Beergeek, Praha. Seasonal beer only available until mid- February! I need to hurry! Very deep brown color, low foam left nice lacing. Stronger than it feels, one is probably enough. I’m happy I caught it just in time, will look for it again next winter!

Bottle@home, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Strong sweet aroma of fruits like strawberry and brown sugar. Some alcohol. Dark amber color with small light beige head. Strong, complex, soft taste of darker, still bit sweet berries, some strawberry, banana and malts. A hint or rubbery notes. Some alcohol in the background. Balanced with wide taste spectrum and medium/long aftertaste with sweet malts. Medium body with light carbonation. Overall, different, still high quality product that suffers from slight artificial (rubbery) flavor.
