750ml bottle from IPB.
Appearance : Hazy shiny mahogany with a small head.
Aroma : Spicy and fruity. Some liquorice. Notes of banana bread.
Taste : Fruity and spicy. Nice cinnamon and cloves. Finish has notes of cloves. Quite enjoyable. Quite dry.
Overall : Very nice nice fruity/spicy nose. Quite straight forward overall but very well made. Great winter brew.

Bottle. Deep coppery brown hue with a generous white head, and has a lot of prunes and candy sugar in the aroma; bit sticky MF with popping carbonation. Some spices come in on the sweetness as well and is very warming. Nice winter time brew, but a touch sweet and sticky for me and straightforward.

Pretty yeasty aroma, heavy and moist. Dark brown, not too solid though, can see some light through it, not much going on for head/lacing, this one is about a year before due date. Nice biscuit malt flavour, sweet and foamy, a bit too sweet? Fades out nicely, last for a while, % is noticable. Pretty nice, like a double or a triple, most expensive of chouffe’s, regular is the best one.

Very dark brown colour thick beige head. Aroma is very strong with lots of yeast notes. Smells like bread and dark fruits, raisins. Flavour is very bold and fruity. Lots of plum, raisin, prune, and other fruits and berries. Slightly bready with a caramel finish. This is a great brew.

750ml bottle. Pours dark murky brown with small tan head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruits, and dark malts. Flavors of dark fruit, caramel, toffee, and dark malts. Mouthfeel was average. Kind of just tasted like a thick brown ale with some Belgian influence.

8/29/10. 2007 750mL bottle. Dark brown pour, very deep red when held to the light. A fizzy khaki head that fades to a film fast. Sweet, spicy aroma that reeks of alcohol, damn, this is 3 years old? Was this everclear when fresh? The flavor is huge sweet malt and dark sugar. Whoa this is sweet and boozey. A hint of orange in there, and spicy Belgian yeast. Meh.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2011 Tap. Dark brown body with a creamy, tan head. Fair lacings. Nose of roasted malt, dark fruit, plums, caramel and notes of yeast. Sweet malt flavour with caramel, sweet chocolate, riped dark fruit, spices and yeast. Full bodied. Oily texture. A little malt bitterness at the end. Very enjoyable.
