4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Rando7 (448) - Iowa, USA - AUG 6, 2010
2007 vintage. Wow, very nice (no pun intended) beer. Bottle pout to Trappist glass gives dark brown color with brief beige head. Aroma dark fruits. Taste extremely well balanced with dark fruits, spices, malts, tartness, yeasts Alcohol present but not overpowering. Flavors come and go threatening to become unpleasant but never reaching that point. palate medium, carbonated. Finish long with dark fruits.
Really liked this one, great balance of pleasing flavors.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kuphish (351) - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2010
750ml bottle courtesy of EithCubes. Pours a clear, red-brown body with a fair amount of particulate. Fun holiday spice aroma with yeasty esters and some rich malt. Plum and cherry come through in the flavor with more of the holiday mulling spice. Medium body with effervescent carbonation. Quite tasty and clean overall!

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Balazs (562) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 4, 2010
0.75L bottle form Csakajosor.hu. Poured dark brown-amber with a large tan, lacing head. Dark fruits, roasted malts, brown sugar, grape, apple in the aroma. Just the right amount of sweetness in a dense, oily body. Strong on the palate, but not overwhelming. This will certainly warm you up on a cold day! Excellent brew.

Bottle from Theatre of Wine, Greenwich. Dark reddish-brown pour with a big beige head. Pungent nose of licorice, vanilla, caramel and demerara sugar. Flavours of licorice, some chocolate, slightly hoppy, cinammon, cloves, dried fruit. Malty, sweet finish. Interesting.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 SirLimpsalot (843) - SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2010

Pours a light mahogany with a big, loose off white head. There’s a lot of lacing on this beer and more carbonation than expected. The aroma is malty and spicy with a some marmalade and raisins. A dusty or grassy yeast comes through on the nose. Taste mild for the higher ABV; sweet malts, mild hops, spices - almost a turmeric taste - caramel and lemon grass. Mouth feel is sticky. This is a well balanced ale, but nothing remarkable. That said, I’d happily drink it again.
