Hazy reddish brown color, medium sized tan head. Full body, average carbonation. Aroma is full of fruit, raisins, caramel malts, yeast, spices. Taste is medium sweet at first with light herbal hoppiness that follows. Finish is dry. Alcohol is not noticeable. Excellent beer.

Bottle - Brown pour with a foamy tan head. Nose is doughy yeast, whtie grape, bread dough, and dark fruit. Sweet and sugary, but not cloying. Taste is really fruity yeast, raisin, doughy bread, and overripe grape. Boozy and warm on the finish. Medium-bodied and soft--really smooth.

Pour is dark and almost ruby port-like. Aroma is there but could be more present. Taste is where it really shines with figs, a faint herbal flavor and a tingly grapes. The finish is super long with lingering dark fruits holding on. Big fan.

Poors nice dark beer with bif light brown foam head. Aroma is muffled by this head, caramel. Tastes mostly caramel, little too sweet, some hay. High alcohol is pleasantly present. Sweet aftertaste. (Arnhem 201403)

Fles gedeeld met lachneger. Robijnrood bruinachtig bier zonder kraag. Zoetige geur. Smaak is wat trekkend, hoog in de alcohol en dat proef je. Typisch Belgisch bier waar suikers voor de alcohol zorgen.
