Bottle (about one year old). Beautiful reddish colour with an off white head. Aroma: sweet malt, caramel, big fruitiness, berries, pears. Flavor: sweet, malty & estery, fruit, berries, caramel, yeast, lightly fenolic, light alcohol. Nice!

2003 bottle courtesy of bleeng. Lots and lots of chunks of sediment in this. Smell is lots of wood. Some sandy smells. Taste is sort of caramelized but has dry sweet malts that fill in on the finish. I wonder if this is too old. Not bad though.

Bottle. 22.5 oz. (2007 Limited Edition) Drank this Belgian Strong with Vinny and Sean. Popped the cork and the aroma immidately smacked me in the nose. Boquet of spices, malts, caramel, and sweet fruits. Thick, beige head, almost solid. FIrm body, creamy texture, and a magical finish. A truly epic brew enjoyed by surprise on sunny afternoon. Highly, highly recommended.

Full scaled winter beer with lot’s of alcohol. It feels like the same beer as McChouffe which indicates highly carmaled malt. Many different spices can be smelled and tasted. (koriander, dates, pepper)

Poured a murky brown. Nose is of booze and drk fruits. Taste i same as nose, boozy, raisins, plums, dates, too carbonated, flavors are a little flat.

Pours a dark cloudy brown with off white head. Aroma of spice, malt, dark fruit, booze. Very complex aroma, can’t completely wrap my head around it. Similar taste, very warming. enjoyed this one.

750 bottle-2005 vintage- Very mellow, you don’t taste the 10% alcohol, a very nice spicy flavor. This is a decent Christmas ale, but overall an inferior strong Belgian beer.
