bottle, brown color with nice tan head, overpowering alcohol taste with some cotton candy thrown in, could not taste any of the spices really due to the upfront alcohol bite

[bottle] Burnt caramel pour with a smallish tan head. Piney, earthy, spicy aroma. Medium to heavy mouthfeel. Flavor is brown sugar, caramel, spices, and some tart cherries in there as well.

(From old notes, bottle at Pikkulintu on 2008-01-11) Lots of malts. Rahter heavy bodied. The taste has got some hops, too, which balance the maltiness.

750ml bottle during the winter months of 2007-2008. Forgot to rate this, if it wasn’t for the bottle laying around 5 months later i would of never remembered. ah spring cleaning. This strong ale was notably hoppy but still retained a malty nature. Body was on the thicker side. Poured dark brown/orange. Was interesting but not a favorite.

750ml from Newport Pizza and Ale. Poured really deep dark brown. Had a nice citrus/mild hops nose. Flavor was caramel and toffee malts with a lot of carbonation. Mouthfeel was a little wispy but still very good. The high abv was evident but not overpowering, and the finish was good with lingering traces of hops. Not at all bad, thanks for the hook up Johnny boy~

Dark brown with a low head. Sweet and spciy aroma of cinnamon and toffee. Lots of herbs in the flavour with notes of prunes and some coriander. Has a creamy palette and a lingering finish.

Pours a deep dark brown with a nice fluffy tan head. Aroma of malt and dark fruit. Taste is a little bitter, a little off. Maybe a bad bottle....
