Draught at the brewery, brown with a foamy tan head. A vinuous malty aroma. Strong vinuous flavours with rich caramal malt, a touch of licorice and a bitter finish.

Pours dark red with a tanned head. Some lacings. Very strong sweetnes with the "right" aromas of yeast, fruits and prunes. Very abbey-ish. Finish a bit too gunsmoke bitter. Otherwise a very nice beer.

Dark brown colored beer. Carbo and body decent, taste as well. Smell is ok but could have been better.

This is a real pleasure to drink. the taste of dark fruits, caramel and a few spices make this a great addition to me ratings list. its got a cola feel to it and the taste doesn’t have the real alcohol punch that a Belgian Strong ale should have.

Pours dark brown with ruby tones with big tanned head leaving very nice lacing. Aroma is malty and sweet, spicy, caramel, chocolate and dark fruits. Nice crispy fruity mouthfeel. Flavor follows the aroma with notes of alcohol and bitter orange. Palate is nice crispy and malty. Finishes hoppy and bitter orange.

Bottle @ Cardinal. Pours reddish with a small off-white head. Slightly sour aroma, dried fruit and caramel. Taste is sweet malty esters, fruit, berries, caramel and some yeast. Weak alcohol warmth at the end. Full bodied and a good one.

Bottle: Brown color, frothy, beige head. Malty nose, notes of dark fruits and also yeast. Flavor is also malty, light notes of caramels and nut. Raisins, plums, candies and hints of light herbal hops in the end. Well balanced and a not to present alcohol note. Would like to drink it again after some years of aging.

Hazy brown hue, with a fluffy beige head, leaving laces, yeasty, spicy nose of herbal thym, with a subtle provençal herb notes, with a fruity raisiny, an orangeish-curaçao accent, some toasted malts, sweet candy sugar, and a coriander aroma follows through a full-bodied palate with a crisp, yeasty, toasted malt character, with candy brown sugar, with some herbs spiciness, maybe thym, sweet curaçao, with a raisiny and plummy fruitiness, within a comforting warmthness mouthfeel from his 10%, leading towards a malty, fruity finish.
