3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Eructoblaster (2043) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 22, 2007
Bottle - 750ml. Dark brown cloudy body with good carbonation and a thin off-white frothy head. Complex malty/hoppy aroma with herbal, spicy and yeasty notes. Perfectly balanced taste that carries yeasty, spicy and fruity hints. Texture is soft/oily and alcohol is well hidden. Ends with a good warming finish. Nice!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 9, 2006
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a brown with a fluffy tan head. Berry fruit aroma. To taste caramel and berries, spicy yeast in the background. Interesting.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 durhambeer (2028) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 11, 2009
On tap at Tyler’s. Brown mostly clear pour with off white small head. Sweet malts, dark fruit notes, brown sugar, and maybe a hint of cinnamon. Sweet but complex. Very drinkable and quite good.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 RCL (2025) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 14, 2008
Drier compared to the McChouffe. Dried spices with a slightly citrusy finish. You feels just a touch of the 10% ABV on the finish.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 lb4lb (2021) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2009
Bottle shared at tasting. Thanks! Pours dark brown to maroon with small head. Smell is herbal and caramel like and quite sweet overall. Taste is a bit too sweet with lots of caramel. Medium body and carbonation. Eh...
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - MAY 17, 2006
2004 bottle. Dark ruby/brown with a perfect tan head, made of tiny carbonation bubbles, lasts almost entire bottle. Great lacing. Aroma is a strange combination of citrus, dark fruit, faint alcohol, (more as it warms), and spice. Except I am getting a minty/parsley like spice/herb. Flavor is on par with all the top belgians IMO. Big sweet malt base, residuel sugars, plum and cherry, even faint banana, pepper, alcohol. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Underated IMO. Catching quite the buzz after milking this thing for two hours!
