750 ml bottle shared with Bottleman in Germany. Thanks much to Shrubber for this one. Pour as a drak brown color with a beige head.. Nice aroma of some spices, dark fruits. Taste is spices, some dark fruits, sweet but not sugary sweet, nuts and a little chocolate with a strong malt base. Palate is smooth. Really easy to drink for ten percent. Scary actually. A good desert beer.

750 ml. Amber-brown hazy body with a large, frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, toffee, brown sugar and cookie. Also notes of clove, raisin, dark fruits. Hint of dust, cobwebs. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body with a velvety texture and lively carbonation. Delicious beer, sweet, spicy, complex and interesting.

ohoh... gonna be a tad tipsy in an hour... Poured out a nice deep reddish brown brew with a decent foam up but excellent retention and lacing leaves plenty of the light brown crown behind. Lots & lots & lots of chunks! Comes out quickly with a medium strength complex spice and yeast, dark malts, dark berries, weak raisin, orangeish. Great flavours here: more of the same compared to the nose with clove and soft pepper coming out more, oak?, fig, lots of thick rich malts, weak alcohol. This turned out to be one beer that I would prefer to not let warm excessively as it started to fall apart. Smooth on the mouth, finishes sweet and invites you back for another sip. Highly drinkable. My cellar should find a home for a couple of these.

0,7l Bottle: Deep red hazy colour, with a flat head. Aroma has lots of Malt, chocolate, sugar, timian complex aroma and it is nice! Flavor has lots of the ingridience that was in the aroma + citrus, toffee. Vine.Medium to full body, and medium finish. Nice beer!!

July 2007 - Dark brown chestnut pour with moderate head and lacing. Musty aroma, not altogether pleasant, but there. Sweet, bordering on overly so. Lots of scottish ale type sticky, really sweet smokey malts, with a syrupy mouthfeel with a kind of tinny aftertaste that sort of detracted a bit. Maybe it was a spice, I don’t know. Mild spicing. Good, but not great.

Bottle, anno 2008. Fluid was dark brown and clear. The foam was not large, collapsed quickly. A lot of particles in the glass. The aroma contained yeast, fruit and some acidity and "earth." The taste contained orange, and cherries. The beer was pretty sweet, especially the refreshing aftertaste. The beer also contained spices that were difficult to define. Not bad.
