2004 bottle. Very thick and full light-brown head. Hazy / cloudy dark reddish/orange copper color. Nice-looking.
Uhh... fruity belgian aroma with some spices.
Fizzy character. Dry spicy sweet fruit and coffee (very light coffee). Brown sugar. Dry spice rack shit. Good.
Very nice complex spicy character. Nice Belgian Christmas beer.

Light brown color with a huge off-white head that lasts and lasts. Excellent lacing throughout. Hazy body with small floaties. Moderately malty aroma with light bread notes along with apple and allspice notes. Moderately sweet flavor from start to finish with more hints of apple and spice. Full bodied with fairly soft carbonation. Delicious.

Bottle. Foggy mahogany-brown. Alt-esque maltiness/wood qualities with some strong alcohol presence. Some holiday spices, very complex and thick.

Bottle. Brown sugar, a little bit of sparkling wine and spices, malt. Black body, big brown creamy head which is long lasting. The initial flavor is bitter, the finish is a little bit alcoholic.
On the palate the beer is a little bit alcoholic but not too much despite the 10 %, dry and medium bodied, soft carbonation, long and mild finish.
Very nice beer, I will enjoy the rest of the 750 ml bottle during the christmas evening ;-)

Enjoyable, no longer remarkable. A Belgian strong with a hint of orange peel and some sweet spicing. I really do want more intensity and more complexity in a strong beer, not just a quick alcohol slam.

Tap, ANDY’S; Poured dark ed burgundy /brown. Fruity malty aroma, maybe raisin. First sip was sweet , but the alcohol kicked in. A rariy to find this on tap. Very nice finish.

750ml - 2006 - Aroma of dark fruits, holiday spice and a touch of citrus. Pours dark brown with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is smooth with a tart finish. Not a lot to say, but a great tasting brew.

Bottle/750 - Poured a very dark amber in color with a small tan head. Quite a bit of "stuff" floating in the beer. No lacing from the head. Aroma is spicy with plenty of fruity esters and little evidence of the hops. Flavor is flavor is *very* fruity with a heavy amount of "berriness", almost to the point that you would suspect them adding a bit of cherry juice. Hops add some bitterness to balance. I liked this one...
