2005 bottle sampled Dec 14, 2010.

Five years have been good to this beer. Lovely pour, plummy and gently spiced nose. No sign of oxidation and the flavor integration is superb. An excellent Christmas Belgian strong.

750ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark brown with amber highlights and a large long lasting light tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of raisins, plums, caramel, thyme, cherries, and corriander. Taste is slightly sweet and spicy with notes of raisins, plums, caramel, cherries, and spices with a mild hop bitterness. Full mouthfeel with good carbonation. Another wonderfull beer from d’Achouffe.
