On tap at Tyler’s. Brown mostly clear pour with off white small head. Sweet malts, dark fruit notes, brown sugar, and maybe a hint of cinnamon. Sweet but complex. Very drinkable and quite good.

75cl bottle from Sheps Deli, Tampa, FL. Pours a dark caramel brown with a one finger tan foamy head that settles quickly but laces the glass. Aroma is rich and malty with notes of ripe dark fruit, dark candy sugar, caramel, toffee, raisins, slight hint of dark chocolate. Flavor is a burst of flavors from caramel and toffee to sweet malt, spice, and molasses. A complex beer. Some notes of phenol, dark ripe fruit, sugar plums and candy sugar are present as well. Generally medium to full body with a sweet and malty finish.

Brown pour, tan head. Malty aromas of caramel, toffee, dark fruit and certainly molasses. Flavor follows suit with a great mouthfeel and flavors of spices, dried fruit, caramel and nice warming malt profile. cheers!

Meatmallet (126) - Salem, Illinois, USA - DEC 18, 2008
Deep reddish brown with a huge tan head that left a thick ring of lace up and down the glass.Smells very light on the nose. Rasins and dates with a light alcohol smell.Thick and slick in the mouth with a great alcohol at the end. Spice and yeast with dark fruit flavors give it a complex flavor.High carbonation and a great alcohol burn make this a great beer for the style.

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love poured for me, a classic Belgian holiday ale from Capone’s, aged from 2008. The N’ice pour amber brown, dark and thick, not clear at all with a tan head. The aroma is fruity with some berry and clove notes. The flavor is fruity with notes of wheat, then it settles on the palate with a ton of yeast flavor.

2008 Edition, brought up from the cellar and served cool - Off white head that dissipates. Brown body, a tiny bit watery on the mouthfeel. The aroma and taste are what make this brew. Sweet, balanced, malty majesty. Warms up nicely, smooth. Quite a treat. 750 mL
