A great Belgian strong and the best I’ve had from this brewer. Aroma was just so so. Earth, spice and dark fruit. Pour was a nice dark amber/light brown with a good bit of sediment. Taste was very good. Strong berry and spice with a nice spicy aftertaste. I would never guess this was 10% Very nice carbonation. As the beer warms, more fruit flavor comes out. White grape and pear mostly. Very complex and delicious.

Oct 13, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Highly carbonated is light and tickling on the tongue, and I like to be tickled. Lots and lots of dark, sweet fruits in this. A absolute pleasure to drink, and that ABV is marvelous and obvious after a few sips.

Sep 29, 2008 Sample @ BBF ’08, Boston. Pours a deep brown with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, dark fruit, and a bit of yeast detectable as well. Flavor is dark fruit and yeast, dissolving into malt and an alcohol burn at the end. The beer was very lively and maintained a great characteristic throughout. Excellent.

Sep 27, 2008 27.09.2008, 0,75l Bottle. BB 09.08.2010. The colour is dark brown, maybe a little clody. Aroma is fruit and malt. The beer is a little to lively carbonated. Body is full and the beer is rich. The strong alcohol gives the beer a warm atertaste.

Sep 10, 2008 (bottle) A light brown, airy head and dark brown body with red highlights. The aroma is full of sweet fruit, nuts, and notes of alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with slight acidity, toffee as well as nuts and some other earthy flavors underlying. The alcohol, though not very strong, is noticeable, particularly so in the after taste as it warms the throat and mouth. Medium to full body is a little sticky and carbonaceous.
