badgerben (2990), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Dec 7, 2004 2003 Vintage; Tasted December 6, 2004; Rating #1000 Dark reddish/black color with a medium head. Bready aroma with a hint of fruit, possibly cherry. Solid malt body with a touch of winter spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, maybe ginger). A little dash of herbs are there too, but not to the extent as, say Rochefort 10. The alcohol is not particularly well hidden. Ralph says: "It tastes like burning!" Still, a damn fine brew and a good one to celebrate 1000 with!
