341ml bottle from the brewery. hazy amber. nice complex malt nose, some spicy hops as well. the flavour is similar. the malt progression is really well done and the hopping is ample but not the best part of the beer. great cold weather session beer.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 pootzboy (1484) - Hawgville, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 23, 2012
Bottle from From the brewery, this is a wet hop 80/- made with fresh harvested hops from a local source. Pours a murky amber-red with a 1 finger tight sticky cap. Modest carbonation. Aroma is very pleasant – a perfect balance between rich toasty-sweet malts and fresh floral hops. Flavour is what one would expect from a wet hopped ale coupled with a scots wee heavy – Rich chewy malts in front with balance from floral/resinous herbaceous hop bittering from green cones. As this finishes the hops dominate making the long wet finish pleasingly bitter. A nice mix of malts and choice of fresh hops make this unfiltered ale a very drinkable with tons of flavour.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Tessic (748) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 22, 2012
This ale poured a deep amber colour with a nice, big, foamy, tan coloured head. No lacing. Scents include malt/caramel, gravy, ripe fruit and a light earthy aroma. First swig had medium carbonation, slightly thin mouthfeel, caramel, dough, tea and leather flavours. Finish is lightly bitter with a small amount of hop bitterness.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 probstblueribbon (2418) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 27, 2012
Pint at Loon. Very hazy copper with a light tan rim. Reasonably fruity, mice burnt sugar and toast crust, a slightly savoury hop note, a little pine/resin, sort of an odd skanky-dank aroma, hmmm. Medium body, fairly lively effervescence. Beautiful rich, fruity caramel/brown sugar malts, berries, burnt sugar with an underlying dank, resinous hops, a little alcohol, still has a slightly odd savoury note; dry with decent bitterness and a long, richly malty bitterness. Good stuff.

2012-10-11. Dark amber brown body with a small tan head. 3+ Mild aroma, lightly earthy green hop aroma. Sweetish malt. 7 Flavour is similar with sweet malt core and mild green hops, sweet finish. 6+ Average plus bodied palate is smooth, a bit under carbonated. Enjoyable, I liked it better once I realized they were not trying to make a hoppy pale ale! Cask at Project X, Great Lakes, Toronto
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sammy (7114) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 11, 2012
Surprisingly good English style cask at Project X. Like a wet harvest for sure. More of a bitter than the bitter available. Decent drinkablility and those hops were very nice, came through subtle but there.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blankboy (5191) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 10, 2012
Cask at Volo. Last pint of the cask. Pours a murky copper with an average size long-lasting frothy beige head. Aroma of yeast, sweet bready malt, average hops, both spicy and citrusy. Flavour of citrus hops, fruit, yeast and sweet malt. Decent bitter finish. I think this being the bottom of the cask might affect the flavour a bit compared to some of the other ratings, we’ll see, either way I liked it.
