COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Balance is finding the point between two opposing forces for a more desirable outcome: Equilibrium. We crafted our Nickel Brook Equilibrium ESB with balance as the primary objective. Equilibrium has a great malt character and full body that you expect in an ESB. We balance it with a generous dosage of hops that gives Equilibrium a distinct fruity flavour and appropriate level of bitterness. We advise you to find your Equilibrium today!

Draft. A pretty decent esb, fruity and toasty notes, good malt body, medium to low bitterness.

Nicely balanced with gorgeous malts and bitter hops. A little more hoppy than I am used to from this style. Nice complexities in flavours: malts, chocolate, fruit, leafy hops

Bien malté. Céréale. Léger caramel doux et pas sucré. Houblon herbacé. Un peu végétale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rich toffee pour with a creamy head. Smells of citrusy hops and sweet caramel malts. Creamy smooth, this has plenty of earthy and fruity hops to go with the sweet malts. A really nice ESB. I’m liking this sampler pack more with each beer.

Can from the LCBO. Deep cloudy copper with a small off white head that recedes to a sheet. Nose is caramel, grain, light honey and some leafy hops. Light+ toffee sweetness offset by an equal hoppy bitterness. Medium creamy mouth with soft carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Of the two I hadn’t tried in the 4 can sampler, this was the surprise. Quite nice.

Had this two nights ago at our back-to-school piss up party two days ago (always amusing to watch us teachers stumble into the new school year) & then again tonight up at the cabin. Dark frothy pour. A lot better than expected, in fact this may be a bit of a sleeper hit in the 4-pack sampler that in came with. A great example of balance, with the malts & cereals & sugars & creamy mouthfeel all working together to make a shining example of what can be a pretty banal style. My buddy Hippyhop boasts of having this on cask & I think that would probably be pretty swell.

473 mL bottle. Hazy, rusty brown with a small white head. Lots of earthy British hops in the nose, followed by sugary caramel. Nice. The flavour is a little more muddled, with neither of those elements distinguishing themselves. Decent body. Nice enough beer.

Can. Hazy Amber in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas set of bready and caramel malts, orchard fruit, and herbal hops. Fairly hefty on the palate, with a blend of bread, toasted nut, caramel, nectarine, cut grass and herbs. Lots going on. Tasty, but it could have been leaner.

Can. Cloudy dark amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel and grainy malt, a little bready and slightly metallic. Flavour is bright and hoppy for an ESB, a little pine and citrus, with some toasty notes and a slightly spicy, bitter finish. Pretty decent ESB.

Cask version, served at room temp. Wish I had tried the canned version at the same time. Nose is caramel malt, roasted grain, earthy/woody notes. Barely any hops in the aroma. Taste is more earthy caramel, with a typical Bitter finish. Decent but kinda meh, although I felt like a real Brit drinking this stuff alone at the rubber before heading home to the trouble and strife. Ahem.
