Cask at Pub Italia. Hazy copper with a thin frothy white head. Flavors are toasted cereals, biscuit, caramel and nuts with fruity, earthy and herbal notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth texture.

473ml can. Slightly hazy copper pour, with a large beige head. Great nutty, bready malts with some sweet caramel malts too. Nice hopping, crisp, but slightly citrusy, with light stone fruit. Incredibly well balanced, a easy drinking esb.

Can at the Arrow & the Loon. Pours a clean amber colour with a golden hue. Creamy warm cap with good retention and lacing. Becomes hazy by the last pour. The taste starts off mildly hoppy, then goes through caramel to finish with grain. Then, the grass comes back. Aromas of caramel, citrus and grass reminding me of an IIPA. The mouthfeel is crisp, mildly dry. A nice balanced brew with good grain, hops and caramel. A slightly hoppier ESB.

473 mL can. Pours auburn brown with a thin head of just white foam. Toasty malt and light caramel on the nose with plenty of earthy, spicy hopping. Bread crust, woody herbs, mild citrus and gentle roast. Dry with a hint of mild malty sweetness and plenty of contrasting hop bitterness and a touch of roastiness on the end. Light to moderate body with light carbonation and moderate mouth feel. Lingers slightly.

[6317-20140509] Tap. Fruity young toast yeast aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a long-lasting foamy white head and some thick lacing. Fresh doughy yeast fruity bread flavour. Medium body is very smooth. Delicious. (7/4/8/4/16) 3.9

Pours a medium caramel colour with a thin slightly off-white head. Aromas are caramel and toffee. Tastes are strong caramel malts, toffee and a surprising light sweetness in the background. Overall this is no Fullers ESB, but it isn’t a bad effort in the category.

Where and how: on tap at Volo
Aroma malty side with nice hop backing. Proper ESB set up.
Appearance :
Top: medium top.
Base: fine haze on amber.
Palate : clean ,easy going, bit too easy...
Taste: malts well paired with its hops. Balanced.
Other notes nothing screaming here, just solid old school brew.

At the Kitchener beer and ribs show. Pours hazy copper. Taste has caramel/toffee, spices, with a bitter finish. A little odd tasting, somehow, but drinkable.
