Had this on tap and now sampling the bottled version. Pours a clouded light gold color with a smallish cap because of the acidity in these sour ales. Aroma approximates a Berlin sour wheat - sourdough aromas, sweet ’n sour tones like dry cider with some earthy hop undertones. Zero sweetness in the flavor, just a tart sour cider, naturally effervescent, lightly hopped light brew, clean dry finish and a lovely puckering palate. A very good rendition of this unique style. Well done BB.

On tap At Gig’s - this is a hazed pale gold ale in the glass, puffy white 2 finger cap with fair retention. Aromas are demure but there is the biscuity smell of whealt malt, some fruitiness, lacto funk, and earthy hops. Crisp and clean on the palate, dry and tart in the finish. This is a biscuity, tart- fruity, spritzy, and refreshing ale with a dab of sweeness at the end - very much in line with the true Berlinner weisse style. Good effort on this great summer quencher.

Clean lactic aroma, not much yeast character. Taste is again clean and lactic, no funk, really reminds me of Kindl Weisse.

750 mL bottle. Pours golden with a short lived white head. Wheat malt aroma, with lemony accents, some grass and cereals. A touch of malt at first, then bracing lacto tartness. Finishes with a zesty sourness. Light bodied with high carbonation, slightly sticky palate, but otherwise quite clean. Different and refreshing.

On tap at Bar Volo, pours a hazy pale yellow with a tiny head. Aroma is pretty lemony, like quite a young Berliner, and wheat. Flavour is similar, with lightly tart lemony notes, wheat, and light citrus. A young beer, but highly drinkable. Good stuff.

Slightly cloudy, straw yellow with thick head that disappears almost instantly, leaving no trace. Aroma of green apple, lemon/lime and grass. Light-medium body with plenty of champagne-like carbonation. Taste is sweet and grassy at first with a long sour-apple acidic finish and a lingering granny smith taste in the mouth. As a fan of big hops, this is not my favourite, but it is quite refreshing.

On tap at the National Capital Beer Festival. Pale yellow with thin white head. Light, some granny smith apples, bit of wheat, some sourness, refreshing hint of lactose and vinegar. Mild carbonation and body with some vinegar with a somewhat dry finish with more green apple.

En fût au Brothers Beer Bistro. Blonde voilé. Nez un peu poussiéreux. Très acide. Bactérie lactique. Fromage. Surette. Un peu fruité. Vieux. Loin d'être agréable.
