Had this on tap and now sampling the bottled version. Pours a clouded light gold color with a smallish cap because of the acidity in these sour ales. Aroma approximates a Berlin sour wheat - sourdough aromas, sweet ’n sour tones like dry cider with some earthy hop undertones. Zero sweetness in the flavor, just a tart sour cider, naturally effervescent, lightly hopped light brew, clean dry finish and a lovely puckering palate. A very good rendition of this unique style. Well done BB.

On tap At Gig’s - this is a hazed pale gold ale in the glass, puffy white 2 finger cap with fair retention. Aromas are demure but there is the biscuity smell of whealt malt, some fruitiness, lacto funk, and earthy hops. Crisp and clean on the palate, dry and tart in the finish. This is a biscuity, tart- fruity, spritzy, and refreshing ale with a dab of sweeness at the end - very much in line with the true Berlinner weisse style. Good effort on this great summer quencher.

341ml bottle from the brewery. Hazy golden, fizzy white head. Nice tart lightly fruity nose. The flavour is fruity upfront, lightly tart, the finish is dry. The is a great take on this style. This will be my session beer next summer!

On tap at Milos- A slightly hazed golden with a frothy white cap. On the nose, I get a slightly yeasty funk, green apple skin,a grassy hay like component as well. Tart, highly bitter and acidic like a green apple. Light bodied with a soft mouthfeel and a lengthy astringent finish. Very good.

This really worked for me. Pours straw with a light white head. Lots of sour hits from top to bottom, with maybe some yeast/dough in there as well. Light in the mouth with maybe a nice acidic bite. Really refreshing.

On tap at Bar Hop. Hazy golden pour, big white head. Big yeasty, phenolic wheat aroma. Slight tartness, even a little lactic. Lively carb, thin mouthfeel. Tart finish with a very light funk. It’s a good attempt but i find it a little thin and lacking in the funk department.

I tried this beer on July 20, 2012 at "Bar Volo" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a very hazed golden colour with a thick creamy white head which quickly dissipated. The aroma was tart fruit, funk, and some wheat. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was tart earthiness, funk, and wheat. It truly lives up to the billing of a tart hefeweizen. Not sure I want to try another one of the style.

Tap at Volo. Pale straw colour with a bit of haze. Thick white head. Bright lactic aroma. Clean and tart with a bit of soft wheat flavour. A touch of soft tart character. Sweetish on the finish. It's okay but it doesn't really do it for me. It's authentic enough which says something. Fairly thirst quenching. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
