Poured from 473mL can. Orangey yellow with off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma with a little biscuity malt. Flavour same with a bit of citrus, but a little soapy and astringent leaving a drymouth finish.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Continuous sales on this ipa keep it fresh in Toronto and this IPA is a heavy hitter when fresh. Nickle Brook’s new recipe is an amazing ipa that does not hurt the wallet. I wouldn’t recommend this as someone first ipa as it may come across as too intensely bitter for some.
Strong tropical fruit, lots of mango, pineapple, orange, orange peel, pine (low compared to the tropical fruit). Big Citra notes. Where this ipa may lack subtly it is exactly what I want out of an IPA. The malt comes through on the nose as it warms, when cold all I can get are the hops.
The body the malt provides is heavy but not syrupy. There is plenty of resin left behind after each sip which leads to a long and enjoyable finish.
As someone who likes to pick up new beers for each session it is hard for me not to pick this one up over a new ipa that may be mediocre.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Amber, pale golden in the glass. Nice head Lacing on the glass. Citrus and pine on the nose. Mild grapefruit on the tongue. Refreshing, but not overpowering bitterness. A nice beer for the money.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can served at Stout Irish Pub (Toronto). Pours clear golden-amber with tiny white head. Aroma and taste are overwhelmingly fruity (peaches, citrus, lemon) and floral. Sweet IPA with a slight touch of bitterness. Downside is its thin mouthfeel. But other than that, really good IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. Lightly hazy golden amber pour. Big hoppy aroma right away, sweet citrus and biscuity notes. Sweet biscuity flavour, full bodied with plenty of hop presence. Nicely balanced.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy, light amber. Lots of hop on the nose - piney with sticky marmalade. Taste is sticky marmalade, too, with some clean pale malts.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Canned sample, listed st 7% alcohol. Gold in colour with a bit of haze and fairly strong carbonation. Aromas are of cedar boughs, sweet orange peel, and wintergreen. Flavours are of orange creamsicle, pine, white pepper and earth. The mouthfeel is an odd juxtaposition of creaminess and a firm grassy bitterness. Not bad overall, better than expected.
