A boldly hopped, full bodied American style IPA. Brewed using primarily Nugget hops give Headstock IPA a distinct hop flavour, bitterness and aroma. It also used a blend of classic European and North American malts to enhance the body and flavour. No additives. No preservatives. Naturally caronated for a smooth, crisp finish.

On tap at the Loop, in Toronto. Pours a nice orange colour with small white head. Aroma was hops, but also a bit skunky so I wonder if I had a bad batch or something. Taste was hoppy, citrus. Will have to try it again to see if I like it better since Iím usually a big fan of IPAs and other stuff from Nickel Brook.

Best regularly available IPA in Ontario. Nickelbrook is making some great beer these days. I am very excited for the opening of their new location!

I buy this by the growlers directly from the brewery and trust me, the hops will knock your socks off. I think this may be the best IPA in Canada.

ENG: Newly re-designed (re-labelled) 473ml can from Liquor Mart Winnipeg, poured into the tulip. Straw - light orange color with medium tan head and a bit of lacing. Aromas of pineapple (and other light tropical fruits), grapefruit and pine. Taste is a bit dimmed compared to aromas, but still very nice. Hops, grapefruit, lemon, floral. Hoppy bitter aftertaste is very mild and pleasant. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall I think itís quite much balanced beer, with these 7% abv together with 80 IBU not really perceptible. Hops is delicate yet full, bitterness is medium-ish, very pleasant. Itís really drinkable beer, I enjoyed it a lot.

PL: Puszka 473ml w odnowionej szacie graficznej, kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do kieliszka. Barwa słomkowa, wpadająca w pomarańczową ze średnią, jasną pianą i lejsingiem. Aromaty ananasowe (i inne jasne owoce tropikalne), grejfrut, sosna. W smaku nieco delikatniejsze (porůwnując z aromatami), ale nadal bardzo fajne. Chmiel, grejfrut, cytryna, kwiaty. Posmak goryczkowy, chmielowy, łagodny i bardzo przyjemny. Średnie odczucie w ustach i średnie nasycenie. Podsumowując dość zbalansowane piwo, ciężko odczuć te 7% abv jak i 80 IBU. Chmiel w odczuciu dość delikatny, jednak pełny w smaku, goryczka średnia, nie ciążąca, przyjemna. Bardzo pijalne piwo.

Pretty tasty ipa there! Sweet malt backbone balances out the aggressively hopped beast. Tasty citrus notes, and a dry bitter finish.

Orange Peel on the forefront of the nose. Some citrus. Pine on the finish. Unexpected sweetness on the finish is quite nice. Hazy peach colored body. Thin white head that dissipated quickly. A little thin, but refreshing.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2015 Re-rating this as Iím drinking it fresh from the growler. It is what I said the first time I rated it, "Tastes like summer all year round. Tons of grapefruit and orange peel with loads of piney bitterness. Iíve had this a thousand times and Iím finally getting around to rating it. Exceptional beer" with an extra shot of concentrated freakiní adrenaline!
