A boldly hopped, full bodied American style IPA. Brewed using primarily Nugget hops give Headstock IPA a distinct hop flavour, bitterness and aroma. It also used a blend of classic European and North American malts to enhance the body and flavour. No additives. No preservatives. Naturally caronated for a smooth, crisp finish.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2015 Re-rating this as I’m drinking it fresh from the growler. It is what I said the first time I rated it, "Tastes like summer all year round. Tons of grapefruit and orange peel with loads of piney bitterness. I’ve had this a thousand times and I’m finally getting around to rating it. Exceptional beer" with an extra shot of concentrated freakin’ adrenaline!

Shades of Phillip’s Hop Circle! A nice combination of piney, citrus, grassy and astringent grapefruit tastes in the hop profile. This is a challenging, slightly astringent IPA, but very well done. Some tasty sweet malts eventually fight their way through the dominant punchy hops.

Aroma is intense hops with lemon grass, citrus, and grapefruit notes. Some earthiness and light sweet maltiness. Taste is almost completely hops, reasonablely complex with the light fruitiness and relatively light finish without total hop burn. Pretty well balanced. Appearance is a loudy gold and orange with a fluffy pearl head that retains well.

473ml can. Canned 01/19/15. Pours a slightly hazy light orange with a one finger, off white head that leaves a nice rings. Aroma has bright notes of pine tree, resin, citrus, and a touch of caramel. Really nice. Taste is a balanced bitter. Orange citrus, smooth resin and pine, a touch of sweet caramel, and a hint of bread. Medium body and carbonation. Medium resin texture in the mouth with a slightly dry finish. Very drinkable. Overall a solid IPA. Good flavours of pine, resin, and citrus blended with some bready/caramel sweetness.

16 oz. can. Really good stuff, with dank green onion and hints of pot mixing with classic citrus and evergreen. Way, way better than the Red Racer I drank the night after. This brewery is doing some good shit.

Heady nose of green hops. Nice weed flavor with notes of pine and citrus, biscuit malt, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Hypnotizing IPA, slowly grows on you, I’m sure Jimmy would have enjoyed smoking some Nugget in the Woodstock days @o@

Tap. Surprisingly good IPA compared to every other beer that I’ve had in canada. Citrusy and piney. Creamy mouthfeel. Smoothy and balanced. Tastes like a pretty solid Seattle IPA.

Pours a unfiltered amber with an average head. Aroma is of pine, citrus, caramel, and bread. Tastes of big pine and grapefruit with toffee and caramel in the background. Has a medium body with average carbonation. Has a crisp dry finish with a strong hop kick to the tongue. A good beer with a silly looking can.
