COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A boldly hopped, full bodied American style IPA. Brewed using primarily Nugget hops give Headstock IPA a distinct hop flavour, bitterness and aroma. It also used a blend of classic European and North American malts to enhance the body and flavour. No additives. No preservatives. Naturally caronated for a smooth, crisp finish.

Well this was a surprise. I actually enjoyed this a great deal. Reasonably priced canadian IPA, poured from a can into a nonic pint. Heavy foamy head with a sediment filled coppery color. Sweet pine and fruit on the nose. Sweet fruit at first with a heavy velvety mouthfeel. Quite resinous and piney bitterness to finish, but still balanced. Will buy this again.

[can] Strawberry and lactic acid aroma with some pineapple and apple. Hazy gold with a lasting, white cover that is lacy. Floral and perfumey flavour that is very bitter. Slightly salty and with a note of dry peanuts. Moderately astringent feel with high carbonation and a lingering bitter bite.

Can. Pours an amber colour with a medium head and a decent amount of carbonation. Very nice aroma - lots of hops, tropical fruits - pineapple. Slightly sweet at the start, then a lot of grapefruit followed by a good bitterness. Pretty dry too. It's good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2014 Good strong IPA beer. Only available in cans from the LCBO. Looks great in a glass, and a strong bitterness at 80 IBU’s.

Very big in the piney, resiny hop aroma. The citrus tries to come through, but the pine dominates. No chance for maltiness in there, but why do you need balance in your IPA? Appearance is a hazy yellow-orange, good head that doesn’t last forever, but good lacing. Taste is initially a surprisingly nice sweet fruit, but followed up by bitterness that persists well. Palate is reasonably full, very dry and has a good aftertaste of the bitterness. Great beer!

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2014 Pours deck stain brown with a 1/2 finger watery cap. Nose on this one is great: juicy hop aroma & baked goods. Taste is what you want for the $ in a domestic ipa but it doesn’t quite follow through -- the after taste slams its breaks on & the promise of hops in the aroma stands you up. I hate to judge a book by its cover but this can is butt ugly. The Stevie ray Vaughn motif is pure cheese. Still better than many on the shelf. May be the best easy to find ipa in the lcbo.

Can at home, 16th June 2013, bought for LCBO, Waterloo. This is a full bodied, well rounded and American style IPA, very tasty and smooth, great bitterness, balanced with sweet malts and a lingering bitter finish. Excellent

473ml can from the LCBO. Nice citrus flavor. This is one of my favourite Ontario IPAs!
