COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We admit it. We have a problem... We love our hops. We especially adore the amazing science of hops! As homage to our favourite wonders of nature, we present to you our award-winning Headstock IPA. The flowering humulus lupulus hop-cone provides us with the vital acids, essential oils and resins that permeate throughout our IPA. The result is a deliciously obscene wallop of tropical fruit, citrus and pine flavours and aromas any hop-head would gladly give a DNA sample for. We conclude that hop science is one tasty passion.

Deep orange with very little head. Aromas of pine hops and strong bold citrus. Taste is lightly sweet from the citrus, medium long bitter finish from the hops though. Lot of complex flavors here, very good IPA, definitely not for everyone though

DRaft. This is a pretty good ipa, citrus and pine notes, fairly dry, some fruitiness. Good stuff.

bottle. Golden with one finger head. Aboverage IPA. Medium body, light sweetness. Citrus hops. Crisp hops, well constructed IPA, but slightly generic.

Probably the best Canadian IPA that I have tried! Totally unfiltered which is extra points with me. Flavor leans grapefruit...and sticks in the aftertaste...and is not swamped by brute bitterness.

OK, from a bottle I wonder if this is just another ubiquitous IPA. Some sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Smells like strong IPA, what else? It looks like IPA, and hey of it looks, tastes and smells like IPA, what else could it be, a macro lager? No way, IPA is so much more macrotized than pale lager, hehehheh. Yea, another IPA trying to be an illegal imperial IPA immigrant without penetrating the border.

50 cl can. Pours a clear golden with minimal white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, pine. Taste is bitter. It has a medium body and oily mouth feel. Overall a great beer.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/10/2015. Pours slight hazy orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pine, honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from sticky bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and slightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Golden beer out of the tap with a thin white head. Big tropical fruit, citrus and pine nose. This is a hop dominant ipa with lots of sweet candied orange peel, red grapefruit, pineapple and apricot jam flavors. A strong pine bitterness joins in the finish. There is plenty of malts to support all those hops. A pleasant hoppy surprise.

Sample at Bobís Bar during the "Inaugural Bobís Bar Sour Spectacular!" on 02/12/2016. The beer is a slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus,.hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, citrus and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

This beer has really evolved. Itís gone from a malt based IPA to a real íWest Coastí style IPA over past few years. Lotís of citrus, pine and bready malt in the nose. Flavour is heavy duty dose of bitterness, but itís got a solid malt backbone to soften that hop aggression. Well made and always enjoyed.
