Deep orange with very little head. Aromas of pine hops and strong bold citrus. Taste is lightly sweet from the citrus, medium long bitter finish from the hops though. Lot of complex flavors here, very good IPA, definitely not for everyone though

Pours a translucent gold, head stays for duration of drink. Bright aroma of pine, tropical fruit. Taste of mango, peach, toasty malts, slight earth, and BIG hop bitterness; impressively, the bitter bomb doesn’t disrupt the sweet backbone. While I find the Naughty Neighbour slightly more approachable, this is also an impressive brew.

Pours dark copper with a foamy white head that laces the glass. Aroma is citrus hops, grapefruit and tropical fruit. Good bitter sweet taste with a dry finish. These guys know what they’re doing, really enjoyable.

Can into glass. Very nice aroma that seems sweeter than other IPAs. Pours a very cloudy amber. Medium to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with a sticky texture. An interesting IPA that is definitely on the hoppy side.

Can. Orange-brown pour, with foamy head. Lots of hoppy notes in the nose, which goes on into the taste and finish quite prominently, preventing the alcohol from sticking out. Picked up some citrus notes too, but largely a hop-only show, which isn’t an issue (I love my IPAs), but prevents it from being a true, nuanced standout.

Can from Ottawa LCBO at parents’. Honey orange pour with white lacy head. Aroma is booze, butterscotch, banana, deep resinous hops. Taste is similar - deep pine resin bitterness, sweet hot booziness, banana and caramel. Dry bubbly finish with lasting bitter boozy warmth. Really good big resinous IPA - but more caramel than a Stone-type resin, halfway between that and a more Mikkeller-type IPA.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Ugh. Bad bottle maybe? Aroma was strong window cleaner/Terpentine. Pour was a medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was insanely sweet in the front then strongly chemically bitter. Not hoppy bitter. Had to pour after two sips. Given the high scores on this beer I’m assuming there was something wrong with it. I’ll pick another one up if I see it and rerate.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful rich shining hazy yellow glow. Big fluffy glossy sticky rocky pure white head. Great long juniperish long bitter herbally chewy palate with hints of tropical fruit and pine. Long aftertaste. Deeply satisfying and heady. Impressive.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle @ Jungle Jims / Cincinnati OH --- Aroma of malt with orange maple and light citrus. Nearly clear medium amber color, off-white head that sinks to a thin cover, hanging strands of lace. Taste is caramel malt with solid carbonation on the swallow. From there, it hits harsh bittering, but only for a moment. Malt re-enters, and, even though the hops still dominate, there is sufficient balance to recommend this one. I could buy it again.
